Our Homestays

Gilgit

Five Giants in Danyor is our main northern base for Karakoram Bikers. A peaceful retreat in a quiet village area. Relax in our large and secure shady garden under grape vines and mature fruit trees.

Lahore

The Lahore home is lovingly managed by Nabila and is a sanctuary in a secure gated villa not far from the old Walled City. A quiet area with easy access to good markets and cultural sites.

Our Danyor House

Our House is a traditional Hunza style and we have two small buildings with shared kitchen and communal garden area. The travellers house has  a dorm room with bunk beds for up to 6 people, a queen room with extra single bed and large windows looking out into grapevines and a twin single room overlooking the garden. We also have a large and beautiful double room in the workers house overlooking the garden. All rooms have attached washrooms.

Our kitchen space is available for all travellers to use to cook their own food or you are welcome to request a home cooked meal from us. Camping is available in the garden.​

We are positioned in the laid back area of Danyor down narrow roads with friendly community around and a school down the road. You can experience local village life and beautiful mountain views. The Danyor market area is a close walk away and has everything that you may need or to get to Gilgit city market you can take taxi, bike or we can drop there. Pick up is available from Natco Bus station and Gilgit airport.

In our Neighbourhood 

Gilgit has a bustling old city market with a deep history and cultural sights. Our home in Danyor Village sits on the edge of Gilgit city just out of the bustle and is the perfect place to base yourself for a couple of days acclimatising to the north and planning your next adventures into the greater Hunza and Skardu regions. Our home is just a few minutes off the Karakoram Highway, only minutes from the main bus depot and airport of Gilgit. Either stay the night or stop for a chai break in our garden.

​Some areas that you can explore from our home are Bagrote Valley, Naltar, Karimabad, Fairy Meadows, Rakaposhi, Haramosh, Shandour, Buddha rock, Hunza, Skardu. Motorbiking, trekking and scenic travel into the highest mountain ranges in the world and the iconic Karakorm Highway following sections of the ancient silk route. lahore - Nabila’s Homestay

The accommodation is a small flat above Nabila and Hashaam’s family home. The traveller house is managed by Nabila and home cooked meals are available. It is private and secure behind a tall locked gate in a quiet area and close to a good market as well as being only 15 minutes to the old city. 

The flat has two bedrooms (one shared room with three beds and one private queen) , a shared sitting area and kitchen as well as an outdoor patio verandah. Each room has a private western style washroom attached.
