What do we see - we ride out the southern edge of Gilgit following the opposite side of the Indus to the Karakoram highway. Then at Oshikhandass turning into the road towards Bagrot. It is a beautiful winding road with spectacular views along the river and towards Diran and Rakaposhi Peaks. We have a lunch stop at Chirah village with mountain views.
