RAKAPOSHI & DIRAN
Rakaposhi Trek
Trekking level - Medium
Day 01: - Gilgit to Minapin drive 2-3 hours, Trek to Hakapun 3 hours. Trek to Rakaposhi Basecamp 2 hours. Stay night Rakaposhi Basecamp.
Day 02: - Trek to Diran Basecamp 4-5 hours. This day has longer glacier crossing and gains altitude. Stay Night Diran.
Day 03: - Explore to Kacheli Lake 2-3 hours then trek to Rakaposhi Basecamp. Stay night Rakaposhi base.
Day 04: - Morning realxing at rakaposhi Basecamp. Walk back to Minapin. 4 hours. After chai break and relaxing in Minapin we return to Gilgit.

How long is the tour? - 4 days including car transfer.
What do we see? - Sections of the Karakoram Highway past Rakaposhi view point before turning off the main road into the small village of Minapin. Trekking through the village and begin hiking up through meadows and beside glaciers. Forests, mountain streams, rugged mountain peaks, massive glaciers, alpine lake.

How much does it cost? - 490 AUD per person
Includes Gilgit hotel pick up and return, transport and fuel, all meals, porter, guide, tent and mat. We recommend bringing your own sleeping bag but we can provide that too if needed.

This trek involves a lot of steep uphill terrain and walking on glaciers. It is not technically difficult however it is not for beginners.
